Hey guys, Stephanie here to present you with my top five favorite title fonts on covers. Now this is a tough one being a graphic designer I’m very VERY picky about my covers, and fonts can usually make or break if for me. So here we go! It’s a top 5 in no specific order by the way!

1. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes  – So I love the cover art alone on this but the font on the cover is beautiful, strong and bold just like the characters inside. I love the whole feel of the font, just something deadly (with the sharp ending at the bottom of the letters), something shiny and something just like I said, bold.

2. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas – GAH THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. As is the cover font and I love the use of higherarchy where the not so important words are smaller and the more emphatic words are. It’s one of my favorite little tricks in typography it’s the best! I love the use of it especially paired with this font because it’s so block and chunky and big it’s a good contrast around the swirl of that vine.

3. Landline by Rainbow Rowell – Landline I love because it’s a bit more fun and a play on the whole telephone cord! Super clever!

4. Jackaby by William Ritter – So I don’t have this book but MY GOODNESS the script on this cover is absolutely gorgeous. I love it and I always want to just instabuy this one.

5. Six of Crows  by Leigh Bardugo – Six of Crows is another I don’t have, but it’s really good use of swirls and keeping it subtle and clean.

What are some of your favorite cover fonts?
