Top 5 Wednesday : Favorite Villains

Top5Wednesday
Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey at gingerreadslainey on YouTube. And this week’s topic is Favorite Villains. Although we all hate them, there are a few that are our favorites that we just never forget about.

1. Queen Levana
11235712I think Levana was one of THE WORST and most sadistic villain I’ve ever read about. She’s always been pure evil throughout the whole Cinder series and I don’t think she ever had a redeeming moment within the whole series. She’s….well…she’s a bitch.

2.The Darkling
He’s so swoon worthy though….a bit messed up, but GAH, I swoon whenever he speaks.

3. Maeve
28260587You may be thinking…well she’s not that bad…IF YOU HAVEN’T READ EMPIRE OF STORMS YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW MESSED UP THIS WOMAN IS. Ugh I hate her. She’s THE WORST. I want to say almost a tie with Levana for the most vengeful, sadistic person ever.

4. Dorothy 18053060She’s so awful, just the way she acts like she knows everything and rules over everything an is such a jerk I can’t stand her!

5. He Who Must Not Be Named

Review : Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas

28260587 Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
Published : September 6, 2016

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those who don’t.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

I’ve been waiting and waiting for this installment to come out. I literally read it in about a week of having it (yes this is a very late review and yes this book is MASSIVE). And I was constantly running scenarios through my head on how this book could go. And as always, Sarah J Maas has completely killed it.

The twists and turns in this book were constant. So much so in a way that made you completely devour every page and morsel that Sarah J Maas put on the page.

In this book I feel like everyone grows be leaps and bounds and the character development in this book is ASTOUNDING. Elide becomes so amazing and Manon, who I have to say is probably my favorite character finally starts walking to the beat of her own drum.

It was very difficult for me to put this book down since every single one of Aelin’s plans were always so complex and so covert that you didn’t know what she was up to or what was going to happen until it actually did.

Every single person and movement and moment had a working piece in this massive contraption of a book. Every single thing had it’s purpose and you found it out as the book went on.

I cannot express how satisfied I was with this book. The seamless way Maas can interweave these stories into all separate directions and then bringing them all back together in the most perfect and flawless way. Manon still remains my favorite and I really hope the next book focuses on the Thirteen. There’s something about all her characters that they all have something within their personalities that make them strong and likable …after you hate them for quite a bit (that’s a jab at you Lorcan).

But this has been my favorite in the series so far and has been absolutely gripping from end to end.
