Hello there friends!
Once again I’ve been missing in action on our dear site. Taylor has been running this ship while I spend my days drowning in work on this huge project, and well…for a while I was completely miserable during my first trimester because I’m expecting! Yep, May 2019 I’ll have a whole little human bean thing to take care of for the next 18 years (minimum). My husband and I are super excited and now that I’m mid-2nd trimester and feeling like a human again, I’m ready to start 2019 dedicated to blogging about all the wonderful books I read.
This year I read 71 books. I plan on making my goal 75 books for 2019 and sharing my opinions about them with all of you. I know it’ll be a challenge with being a new mom. But hell, I’m willing to try it. Thank you to all of you for sticking with me and I’m excited to write about all these adventures I’ll take in 2019.
And with that, please recommend some books my way. I’d love to incorporate them into my TBRs for 2019.
Have a great, healthy and happy new year everyone!
So this month has come and gone quite quickly but with it came an extra day! Yay for a leap year! We got an extra day of reading this month! But that didn’t really help me out much. I only read 5 books and I have a nice list for my March TBR…hopefully I’ll get a good chunk of reading done next month because I decided to take a break from derby.
But here we go! Here’s what I read in the Month of Feb!
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover (Our February Read Along Book!)
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
Fool Moon by Jim Butcher
Grave Peril by Jim Butcher
Splintered by A.G. Howard (DNF)
And I think I have a slightly ambitious TBR but I did read 5 books this month which is a bit more than I usually read.
The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine (Our Read Along Book for March!)
Fallout by Gwenda Bond
Summer Knight by Jim Butcher
Firefight by Brandon Sanderson
The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassandra Claire

First off I want to say how thankful I am for everyone who has followed us throughout 2015. I’m extremely thankful for all of you. It’s been such a great year reading and writing about the books I’ve been reading and loving each word of the way. And I should take the time to thank the amazing writers of all these books. AND the authors who sent us books to read for them and review. We couldn’t thank you all enough for this great year. And with that, here is my December 2015 Wrap up and January 2016 TBR

What are you guys planning to start the new year with? Any new reading goals you’re trying to achieve?
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
Published July 26th 2005
The year is 1945. Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord…1743.
Hurled back in time by forces she cannot understand, Claire is catapulted into the intrigues of lairds and spies that may threaten her life, and shatter her heart. For here James Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior, shows her a love so absolute that Claire becomes a woman torn between fidelity and desire—and between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
I’d seen this book around a lot but I was never really in a hurry to read it. Until one day I randomly started the TV show and it pretty much changed my life. The only other times I felt this way about a book was Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Seriously, that’s how much I love Outlander.
I love the concept of this series and the writing is amazing. And the characters. Oh my gosh, the characters! Claire is so awesome and she’s so tough. I could go on and on about how much I love Claire.
Jamie is… there are no words for Jamie. He’s everything amazing.
This whole book is just a wild ride. Even though it’s massive (like 900 pages), it didn’t feel like it took me forever to read it. I was so glued to the pages the entire time.
Overall, my love for Outlander and it’s characters are beyond words. I can’t even begin to express my feelings. I love everything about this book and I can’t wait to start the next book.
November was an alright month for me, nothing too bad but nothing too exciting either. I’m 2 books behind on my goal for 60 books this month, which is semi upsetting but I did take down 5.25 books this month! 7 left to reach my goal. So fingers crossed people! Here’s what I read in November
Gates of Thread and Stone by Lori M. Lee – 3/5 Stars
Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins – 2/5 Stars
The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider – 3/5 Stars
Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson – 4/5 Stars
The Martian by Andy Weir – 5/5 Stars
(some of) Armada by Ernest Cline
And here’s what I hope to read in December
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (THIS IS OUR BOOK OF THE MONTH!)
Armada by Ernest Cline
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin
The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan
Ten Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Grey
The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton
The Rose Society by Marie Lu
I’m super excited for all of these reads! I hope this is how my month goes and I get to my challenge goal for the year! Have any of you read any of these titles? What are you guys reading this month?
