The Accident Season by Moïra Fowley-Doyle
Published August 18th 2015
The accident season has been part of seventeen-year-old Cara’s life for as long as she can remember. Towards the end of October, foreshadowed by the deaths of many relatives before them, Cara’s family becomes inexplicably accident-prone. They banish knives to locked drawers, cover sharp table edges with padding, switch off electrical items – but injuries follow wherever they go, and the accident season becomes an ever-growing obsession and fear.
But why are they so cursed? And how can they break free?
This book is so insane. There’s is so much crazy that happens in this book and it’s amazing. I loved every second of this book. The concept is so different from anything I’ve ever read before and it’s executed beautifully. I loved the writing style and the way the story was told. The characters are so awesome and I was surprised by all of them. I really liked how unpredictable this book was. I had no idea what direction the story was going to take and I loved not knowing what was going to happen next. I’m still blown away that this is the author’s first book. Everything was amazing and I highly recommend checking this book out.

8 years agoI just read this and we have completely different opinions on it haha. I thought the writing was good, even though the style wasn’t my cup of tea. And that’s the only nice thing I have to say about it haha. I’m glad you enjoyed it, though.
