Stephanie’s August Wrap Up and TBR

Hey Guys! So I did PHENOMENAL this month with reading. I was super surprised with myself! I read 8 books. And I want to read almost the same next month! I know it sounds a bit ambitious but who cares? I’m one book ahead of schedule for my reading challenge (which I’ve never done before) so I feel super positive about it.

I have to say I have 2 favorites for this month:

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas

Now, you may be wondering, what could I possibly be thinking of reading for September? Well:

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon (Received on Net Galley)
Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Mistborn : The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson
The Titans Curse by Rick Riordan
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
The Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll ( Sent to me by Simon and Schuster)

What do you guys think you’ll be reading in September?  And do you think my TBR is too ambitious? Is it a good one for the beginning of fall? Do you have any suggestions for good Autumn books? Let me know!

  1. You read so many awesome sounding books! :)
I still need to read Crown of Midnight! I didn’t like Throne of Glass as much as others, but the ending definitely made me want to pick up Crown of Midnight.
I loved Everything, Everything so much! I can’t wait for my preorder to deliver, so I can reread it!
I really want to read A Monster Calls as well!

    1. Gah I love the books I’ve been reading! It feels so good to have a month where I’ve read so much with such a busy schedule.

Also, what a bummer about Throne of Glass! I loved Crown of Midnight, definitely a Chaol fan but I heard a new person slings in during Heir of Fire and everyone loves him.

      1. Throne of Glass just took so long for me to actually get into it. I finally did at the last 150 pages though. I’ve heard that Crown of Midnight is a lot better.

  2. All those 4 and 5 star ratings! You had such a good month! Fangirl is one of my absolute favourites!! And Heir of Fire is my favourite in the ToG series (so far, I hope Queen of Shadows blows my mind), although I have heard people think it’s the worst in the series? I don’t know how, but they do lol! I have been wanting to read the Mistborn series so badly!! I hope you like it :)

    1. Mistborn is part of a Buddy Read for September if you feel like joining in! I’ve linked it in previous posts, let me know and I’ll get you Josie’s link to the buddy read.

ALSO! I KNOW! 4 and 5 stars all around. I usually do rate 4 and 5 ALL THE TIME. But I’m just getting back into YA groove and such so it’s all really good to me.

I CANNOT WAIT FOR QUEEN OF SHADOWS.

      1. I would join in a heart beat but for this month I’ve put myself on a bloody book buying ban and therefore can’t get my hands on Mistborn this month -it’s on the list of books to buy come Oct 1st though haha!!
