Top 5 Wednesday was created by Lainey at gingerreadslainey on YouTube.

Hi everyone! Taylor here with my top five favorite chapter headings.  I say top 5 favorites really loosely because these are just 5 that came to my mind when I was thinking about which books I wanted to pick for  today. I’m sure I have other books with cooler headers but I can’t think of others at the moment so these are the ones I’m going with.

5.  The Prey by Tom Isbell.

I haven’t read this book yet but I was looking at all the design when I bought it and I thought the barbed wire was really cool.

4. The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh

unnamed (5)

Another book that I haven’t read but I was curious about the design when I bought it. I really like the framing and little sun/star things. I also really love it when books have chapter titles.

3. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

unnamed (6)

Okay, this isn’t technically a chapter header, but every time the main character goes to a different parallel universe, this is the header. It’s fairly frequent though out the book so it’s basically a chapter header. Anyway, I love how the design is so beautiful and takes up the whole page.

2. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Mass

unnamed (3)

I love the font and the cool blurry design at the top but what I love most about this header is how distinctive it is.

.1 The Harry Potter series (duh)

C’mon. You knew I was I going to pick Harry Potter for my number one spot. The chapters have titles, the font is iconic, and each chapter has a picture. What other book series has all that?

What are your favorite chapter headings? Do we share favorites? Link me to your Top 5 Wednesday list or video so I can check it out!
