Saga : Volume One by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples

So this was my second ever graphic novel, and I think it was absolutely astounding. It immediately made me want to dive back into illustration work as a designer because the artwork was FABULOUS. Utterly stunning in my eyes. I loved the art work.
I was kind of disappointed that there wasn’t more to the first volume even though I know Graphic Novels not to be the longest of things, they’re usually fairly short, but I just wanted to keep going, I should’ve just bought volumes 2,3, and 4 with it, but unfortunately they weren’t available but I’m dying to get my hands on them.
I loved each and everyone of the characters, they weren’t the same at all, they were all so different and were all different species. It was a great way to incorporate endless creativity into this series. I also love the story line as well. I find all of it to be completely unique and original which is a breath of fresh air really, after reading all this fantasy and kind of similar styled books, getting a nice change of something completely original and never seen before was great! I read this is one quick sitting because it just was something that flowed amazingly, it was funny and even though sometimes I had major WTF moments, I still loved it.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest of the volumes.

9 years agoYes! Do it if you can! My friend bought Volume 2 for me from PAX East and I haven’t seen him yet since he’s gone so I’m like itching to get my hands on Vol 2.
